Working with Products

A data product is one or more data-related assets that deliver a value proposition to a target persona, combined with the relevant packaging, permissions and visibility:

  • Packaging - Supports the discovery and assessment of a product by the target persona.

  • Permissions - Controls access and use of a data product by a consumer.

  • Visibility - Determines where the product can be discovered. 

Permissions are enforced by the application of subscriptions.

Data products can also contain no assets and be used for promotional purposes.
